IEC Dallas

IEC Dallas is the Dallas chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors, the national trade association for merit shop electrical and systems contractors, and has been running since 1957. Contractor membership is open only to independent, licensed electrical contractors principally engaged in the electrical construction industry, and members agree to abide by the organisation's rules and code of ethics. Electricians are separately licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, so for this trade the state licence is the primary check and IEC membership sits on top of it.
